2005: Site Update History

The year of sorrows and technical challenges. There were only five recorded updates in this year, but some we're technically challenging. This was the year that the second webhost, Rodenta's Free Web Hosting, began to experience some serious problems. And by serious I mean the server would be offline for days at a time.

As if web server downtimes weren't bad enough, this was also the year that my original Dreamcast suffered catastrophic hardware failure. It died in the line of duty on a cold Sunday afternoon in February whilst playing PSO online in a team with Miyu and someone else, as I seem to recall. That Tweeg, for whom I believe was the 4th Tweeg, was level 110 at the time too. Which means that the Tweeg who existed until the end of the official servers was the 5th, and most fortunate, of the Dreamcast Tweeg's. There was another character I had on that system that failed as well. But, to be doubly unlucky, the 3rd party, 1600 block, memory card he was stored on stopped working.

There may have been other updates for this year, but I didn't intentionally begin keeping a record of them until December 2005. So, it's very possible that some for this year have been lost to time.

About two weeks ago the Dreamcast I've always used to play PSO online with died. I'm a low level V1 player once again until Sega mails a friend in the UK my new V2 SN/AK. If I gave you my guild card more than three weeks ago then just delete it. My old V2 characters can no longer be used on official servers.
